Why Choose Florida Short Term Rentals?

The majority of visitors to Central Florida choose to do what they’ve always done and stay in a hotel room when they visit - but the alternative of Florida short term rentals is on the increase, particularly for families and larger groups of tourists. Why is this happening?

Anyone who has stayed in a hotel with small children sharing their room knows how stressful it can be and how it is not conducive to a relaxing holiday. There is one bathroom between all of you, absolutely no privacy or space to be away from each other and you have to have the TV turned low so as not to disturb the little ones at nighttime.

Florida short term rentals are a way to get rid of that stress. By choosing to rent a home, everyone gets more breathing space and is therefore more relaxed and able to enjoy their vacation.

Vacation homes and condos equipped for short term rental are as close to having your own home comforts in Florida as you can achieve. The majority are owned by individuals who like to take their own vacations in Florida and who then offer the property for rent to cover some of the costs. The properties are fully stocked with linens, towels and everything else that is needed to live comfortably and casually during your time there.

You can readily find homes or condos from as small as two bedroom / one bathroom up to six bedroom / four bathroom and even larger. Most newer properties feature more than one master bedroom to accommodate larger family groups and all short term rentals provide linens and towels - no need to pack your own when you come on vacation!

A lot of families choose to eat out during their vacation but short term rentals have a fully equipped kitchen with all the appliances you could ask for - fridge, freezer, microwave and stove - plus pots, pans, cutlery and so on. If you need to take care of any laundry, just use the washer and dryer available in the home and if you’re really insistent, find the iron and ironing board to finish the job.

For relaxing evenings or for those days when you just want to take it easy and relax the family room will have TV maybe a DVD or VCR for your enjoyment. Many owners have put TVs in each of the bedrooms so you don’t all have to watch the same programs!

Private swimming pools are a major attraction for many short term rental clients in single family homes and some insist on those properties that also have a hot tub fitted. Families value the entertainment offered by games rooms featured at an increasing number of homes because the foosball or pool can keep everyone amused during the hours spent away from Disney World. In contrast, condos have one or more pools for use by all community visitors and they frequently have exercise rooms and kids’ playgrounds as added attractions.

Florida short term rentals are therefore a much more attractive option than a hotel room:

* Everyone gets to sleep in their own room, even the parents!

* Pricing is very competitive. Home or condo rental is often no more expensive than a hotel room, especially if your family or group is a large one.

* Did I emphasize the relaxation aspect enough? Having space to spread out means that it’s more like home and there are fewer conflicts.

* There’s more flexibility - you don’t always have to eat out.

* Everything you could possibly want is provided.

* If the weather is not so good (doesn’t happen often in Florida) you can stay in and watch a movie or TV in comfort.

All of which means that Florida vacation home rentals should be high on your list of priorities when you’re booking your next Central Florida vacation.
